Even though we had a chaotic day with Bunny's leg injury and emergency vet visit, we still managed to salvage the late afternoon for a more enjoyable endeavor. My son Colt and I made our first batch of homemade goat cheese together!
This was his first cheesemaking experience (and I am certainly still a novice myself). So, we started with a simple fromage blanc. Colt had a great time measuring, stirring and keeping check on the milk temp while it heated. For him, it was like an exciting lab experiment. Which, I guess, it really is in some way. Here are our curds hanging:
